Managing the Scope of eDiscovery Requests in Antitrust Matters

http://ow.ly/5S2lO

Article on Metropolitan Corporate Counsel website, by Rob Hellewell.

The article discusses the requirements involved to comply with a DOJ and FTC investigation, pursuan to the Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Antitrust Improvements Act. There are new revisions to HSR which are set to take effect in late August.  The new requirements are expected to cause some challenges for corporate compliance policies, and are in theory designed to remove some unduly burdensome document requests during investigations.

The article discusses the need for use of project management, and the need to develop a discovery plan.  It also addresses the need to regulate both external and interal communications, in order to better assure compliance with the upcoming revisions.

This is a very informative article and should prove useful to anyone that has to deal with antitrust matters.
