This article is a brief but informative article regarding the EDRM organization, and the Sedona Conference, and discusses the importance of both groups, and outlines the differences between the two. Both Sedona and EDRM provide valuable roles in terms of providing guidelines for the legal profession on issues that pertain to the use of legal technology, and the handling of ESI.
Joe Bartolo, one of the authors of this blog was an EDRM working group leader the Metrics project, and certainly is a believer in the value that the EDRM provides in terms of defining standards within the eDiscovery landscape. The wrtiers of this blog certainly are thankful and appreciative of the efforts put forth by both the Sedona conference, and the EDRM for all the things that both groups do to help further clarify "Best Practices" for the use of technology within the legal profession.
