http://ow.ly/5WSmP

Article appearing on Mashable's website, writted by Charlie White.

This article discusses recent hacking activity by the Anonymous group.  Apparently 70 law enforcement agencies have had their websites hacked and 10 GB of credit card information has been posted.  The hacks are said to be retalation for the rests of members of this group, and targeted mostly websites of agencies in the Southern and Central portions of the U.S.

The recent rise in the number of hackings is a major concern, and the writers of this blog hope that laws against such activity call for more severe punishments. In addition, websites that have poor security need to upgrade their systems and procedures in order to avoid exposing sensitive information to the general public.
