http://ow.ly/60Kqb

Article by Jason Krause appearing on the eDiscovery Daily Blog.

This article discusses the push for standards to govern eDiscovery, and the need to establish best practices.  The article points out a need to "create benchmarks and standards for repeatable, defensible, and consistent business processes through the entire eDiscovery process." It also states "There are no current quality standards for eDiscovery, but there are several models that could be adopted."

The article touches on various efforts by different groups to help create standards, and possibly certifications, regarding eDiscovery practices. This is certainly worth reading, as it touches on some of the latest efforts to bring some clarity and focus to the use of technology by the legal profession within the discovery phase of litigation.
