An article by Monica Bay appearing on law.com on the LTN webpage.

This article discusses the 8th annual eDiscovery conference taking place at Georgetown Law Advanced eDiscovery Institute this week in Washington D.C.

The conference opened with a case law update discussion provided by, "...six of the most well-known jurists in the legal industry: John Facciola (U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia); Lee Rosenthal (U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas); Andrew Peck, Shira Scheindlin, and James Francis (all three from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York), and David Waxse (U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas). Baltimore's Paul Grimm was scheduled to participate, but had a conflict and was unable to attend."

The article also provides a quote for a top international eDiscovery expert, ""If there was some way to bottle the judicial acumen demonstrated by the judges panel, anybody with an interest in e-discovery would benefit greatly," chimed in DLA Piper partner Browning Marean."

P.S. Three of the Judges mentioned above will also be participating in an event in January, 2012 that was recently referenced on this blog.  Judges Grimm, Peck and Facciola will all participate in a mock "Meet and Confer" session in Charlotte on January 18th.  For more information on that event:   http://ow.ly/7xPn2
