When your law firm’s cloud turns dark

http://ow.ly/7NVLN

A blog post by Brian Inkster posted on the Time Law Blawg.

This article discusses a situation in which a Cloud provider experiences a data corruption issue.

The article describes a real scenario where a corrupted volume extension, and corrupted data backup, through a cloud provider caused some business interruption.  The positive news was that the data was all still residing at the data center and just needed to be located and was reconstituted.

The article states, "This incident has certainly not put me off the cloud as the data was still there and was reconstituted. If anything it demonstrated that if something goes wrong the backup system is such that your data can be easily restored."
