Double Dare: A vendor stands up to a cadre of lawyers over a disputed e-discovery contract — and wins.

An article by David Snow on law.com on the LTN webpage.

This article discusses litigation that took place when an eDiscovery provider sued to enforce a contract against a group of plaintiff's attorneys regarding the Chinese Drywall multi-district litigation matter.  The service provider prevailed in the trial and a jury found that the contract should be enforced, awarding over 300,000 in damages.

Tom O'Connor, who is director of the Gulf Coast Legal Technology Center and a member of LTN's Editorial Advisory Board is quoted in the article as saying about the case, "...not the sort of lawsuit that ever would've been filed five years ago. I don't know if that's an indication that things are getting testy. Everybody's fighting for the work, and things are just getting nastier than the old days," said O'Connor. "We can't afford to let work go out the door anymore, $300K, $500K.""
